Job Summary
Report to the campus office upon arrival and present lessons developed by the classroom teacher in a manner students understand. Establish and maintain classroom control while administering discipline according to board and campus policies. Create an environment conducive to learning, protect students and facilities, and follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures. Spend the entire assignment working with students, avoiding any personal work, and maintain confidentiality and ethical behavior. Perform other tasks as assigned and demonstrate consistent attendance. This role supports student learning during regular teacher absences within Kennedale ISD.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Completion of the Kennedale ISD application process, including substitute orientation
- Interpersonal skills to work well with children, parents, and staff
- Accept jobs and perform effectively on a consistent basis
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance for each substitute assignment
- Maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrates ethical behavior
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Teacher
- Degreed (Bachelors or higher)
