Job Summary

Conduct instructional and classroom management duties for teachers absent due to illness or obligations. Follow detailed lesson plans and schedules assigned by academic teachers while overseeing students outside the classroom, in hallways, and during transition times. Take attendance, document behaviors on school notes, and ensure classroom cleanliness. Maintain a safe driving record with a valid Florida Driver License and comply with FSYR and Cooke School policies. Work as an on-call substitute eligible for overtime pay, reporting directly to the Director of Education.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent qualification
Fully qualified to instruct or teach the students in the absence of the regular teacher
Ability to interact and relate with youth in care
Detail oriented and able to follow written and oral instructions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management skills
Valid Florida Driver License
Ability to maintain a safe driving record consistent with agency policy
