Job Summary
Follow pre-planned lessons and guide students through activities in Pre-K through 8th grade classrooms when regular teachers are absent. Create a positive, structured environment aligned with school values while supervising students attentively and managing behavior with consistency. Communicate student concerns, behavior issues, or absences to staff and collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth transitions. Leave detailed handoff notes for the returning teacher as needed. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to schoolwide safety expectations. This role supports the Christ-centered mission of City School by ensuring learning continues with care, structure, and joy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with children in a group setting
- Active member in good standing at a Christian church
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Flexible, calm, and dependable presence
- Strong communication and classroom management skills

- College coursework in education
- Interest in Charlotte Mason education
