Job Summary
Substitute Teacher in a Head Start center. Responsibilities include observing children and individualizing activities, creating a warm, developmentally supportive environment, promoting growth and development, maintaining health and safety, forming positive relationships with children and families, assisting with classroom tasks, documenting observations, participating in staff and parent meetings, and supporting the operation of the center. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, minimum age of 18, at least three months of experience with young children, computer literacy, and a willingness to participate in required screenings and trainings; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. The role involves helping with activities, ensuring good table manners and healthy eating habits, and collaborating with staff to support children's learning and welfare.
