Job Summary
Plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students while supervising them in various school-related settings. Create an environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of children. Monitor and evaluate student outcomes, communicate with students, parents, and staff, and maintain accurate records following required procedures. Ensure proper care and use of equipment, materials, and facilities. Work under the direction of the school principal to fulfill essential job functions and related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or possession of a general education development (GED) program certificate
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral
- Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to students, teachers, staff, central office personnel, and community members
- Demonstrated success in accomplishing tasks akin to those responsibilities listed
- Must be fingerprinted and submit to a criminal background investigation
- Must complete the Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) in person
- Must successfully complete a drug screen
- Must report all former employers in which the applicant may have had direct contact with minors
- Must submit contact information of the current employer, all former school employers, and all former employers not school related
- Must submit contact information for organizations in which the applicant has volunteered, coached, mentored, tutored or otherwise had direct contact with minors
- Must be available for flexible work schedule
