Job Summary
Provide classroom coverage across multiple age groups, following lesson plans and supervising children to maintain proper staff-to-child ratios. Assist with daily activities including learning centers, meals, toileting, outdoor play, and rest time while supporting social and emotional development through positive interactions. Maintain accurate records, communicate professionally with families and staff, and keep classrooms clean and safe by adhering to health, safety, and sanitation procedures. Adapt quickly to different classrooms and routines as a positive role model, participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. This 3-month assignment transitions to an as-needed role, with hours scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 5:00 pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Successfully complete the Florida Department of Children & Families 45-hour Child Care Training in early childhood education within the first 90 days
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to learn DCF standards, ASQ, Conscious Discipline, and developmentally appropriate practices
- Energetic, professional, flexible, and aligned with Easterseals' values

Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with young children
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs
- Positive, patient, and supportive interactions with children
