Job Summary
Astor Services is hiring Preschool Teacher Assistants Substitutes today. The role involves assisting in delivering educational services to 3- and 4-year-olds in a Head Start preschool program, including support for instruction, supervising children, ongoing assessments, and potential participation in home visits. Responsibilities include creating a well-organized, welcoming and safe classroom, implementing play-based learning, managing the classroom, fostering emotional, cognitive, language, physical, and self-help development, and ensuring smooth program operations. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, the ability to obtain NYS Teacher Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire, experience working with children, and a collaborative, can-do attitude. Opportunities for growth and credential training are provided, with CDA credential training offered at no cost.
