Job Summary
Assist in preparing, maintaining, and presenting records, documents, reports, reviews, and databases while helping provide children with experiences to develop curiosity, initiative, problem-solving skills, and creativity. Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment by enforcing clear, reasonable, consistent, and age-appropriate rules. Duties may include taking care of the hygienic needs of infants, toddlers, and potentially preschoolers, performing bus monitor responsibilities if needed, and staying current on new educational practices. Work involves frequently standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating motor vehicles. Pass physical examination, background checks, state day care clearance, Tuberculosis clearance, and Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification. On-call rotation applies across Weiser, Caldwell, Mountain Home, Gooding, Twin Falls, Burley, Idaho Falls, Aberdeen, and Osgood. No benefits, holiday pay, or paid time off provided.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass physical examination and background checks, including state day care clearance
- Must obtain clearance of Tuberculosis
- Must obtain Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to help provide children with experiences and opportunities to develop curiosity, initiative, problem-solving skills, and creativity
- Ability to help maintain a safe and supportive learning environment in a classroom environment
- Ability to help maintain clear, reasonable, consistent, and age-appropriate rules and expectations for children
- Ability to stay current on new educational practices and procedures
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
