Job Summary
Patrols the 82-acre school campus by foot, bicycle, or vehicle and enforces school rules and regulations to ensure security and safety of people and property. Responds to alarms and emergencies, investigates hazards or unusual occurrences, prepares concise written reports, and communicates with staff, police, or emergency services as needed. Assists in limiting student access to premises per school policies, relays information to administration, and supports campus operations. Requires the ability to observe situations, exercise sound judgment, and interact courteously with the public. Must have a high school diploma, at least one year of security experience, a valid driver’s license, CPR certification, and immunization documentation; may be assigned on an as-needed, part-time basis and will be evaluated under NPS policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- One year minimum experience as a security guard.
- Knowledge of basic safety, security and fire alarm procedures.
- Skill in verbal and written communication.
- Skill in observing situations and making appropriate decisions.
- Skill in dealing courteously with the public.
- A valid driver's license; CPR Certificate.
- Must provide a recent physical from a licensed physician.
- Immunization against tetanus, diphtheria, and measles/rubella, and tuberculosis status documentation within 30 days of hiring.

- Navajo /American Indian Preference: Consideration for employment given to Navajo, American Indian or Alaskan Tribal member with required documentation.
