Job Summary
Greet students, visitors, parents, and staff while managing incoming and outgoing communications, including internal and external phone calls. Schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences as directed by administrators. Provide assistance to parents and students by addressing inquiries, directing them to resources, and distributing school-related information and forms. Prepare and update visitor logs and attendance reports as needed. Take precautions to protect student and staff safety, manage risks, and address harassment or aggressive behavior by notifying administrators. Handle sensitive information with discretion while adhering to student and data privacy regulations. Maintain a record free of criminal violations. Requires a high school diploma, administrative experience, proficiency in office software, and the ability to work collaboratively in a variety of situations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in an administrative or secretarial role
- Proficiency in office software applications and Google suite, including word processing, spreadsheet, and email programs
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in record-keeping
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and the community
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a variety of situations
- Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
