Job Summary
Provides substitute school nursing services in a Norwich, CT school: administers medications per policy, maintains health records, and delivers health services in coordination with the lead school nurse and the Director of Pupil Services. Applies nursing theory to clinical practice, ensures continuity of care, communicates with families, documents interventions and outcomes, and supports health and safety within the school. Performs first aid and emergency interventions, assists with complex health care needs of students, and serves as a health resource within the school environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current Connecticut RN Licensure
- CPR certification
- School nurse certification or pursuing
- Minimum requirements mandated by Connecticut State Regulations 10-212-1 to 10-212-7
