Substitute School Nurse

Administer medications as ordered by physicians and manage PRN needs while providing CPR, AED, and seizure treatment. Document all nursing interventions for students seen and monitor blood glucose, count carbohydrates, and administer insulin for students with diabetes per care plans. Evaluate injuries in school or out of school settings, providing proper care or referring and notifying parents as indicated. Follow established care plans to address medical needs for students and attend to staff for illness, vital signs, or injuries. Requires an LPN or RN license.
