Job Summary
Provide temporary and emergency nursing care to students, administering medications, managing catheterizations, and delivering diabetic care as ordered. Perform health screenings, review immunization records, and participate in child abuse assessments. Maintain accurate health files, report safety hazards, and communicate regularly with parents, staff, and the principal. Comply with Texas Nurse Practice Act and district policies. Occasional district-wide travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program
- Valid registered nurse license from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners
- CPR/AED Certification
- Two (2) years successful nursing experience
Desired Qualifications
- Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening
- Community health experience
