Job Summary
Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment, and physical activity using provided curriculum. Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging while supporting students in positive behavior choices and implementing lesson plans. Ensure student safety by maintaining site cleanliness, taking roll, and communicating needs to coordinators, teachers, and parents. Act as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor to help students reach their potential. Commit to a full-year program with daily attendance between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Pass background checks and advanced math/English testing to join the team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with young children
- Ability to inspire and motivate
- Proof of graduation from High School or G.E.D.
- 48 college semester or 60 college quarter units
- Passing an Instructional Aide Test
- Ability to speak and write standard English appropriate in a public school setting
- Availability at least 3 days a week (Monday-Friday)
- Passing Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting)
- Providing a clear TB test
- Passing Advanced Math and English skills (K – 8) testing
