Job Summary
Provide direct instructional support to students, reinforcing academic behaviors and assisting with community and leisure activities under certified staff direction. Deliver structured support for social-emotional development, adaptive behavior, and social skills while collecting data on student progress toward goals. Implement organization-approved verbal de-escalation techniques and safely use physical restraint interventions as required. Collaborate with peers and supervisors to maintain a professional clinical perspective during student interactions. This full-time, 10-month position at LEARN Academy in Arizona offers entry pay starting at $18 per hour with performance-based increases and a bachelor's degree bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one
- Candidates must be presently eligible to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- 1-2 years' experience working with children in a special needs educational setting
