Substitute Preschool Teacher

As a Substitute Preschool Teacher, you will provide exceptional care and education for children and their families, implementing CAPSLO’s comprehensive educational program in your assigned classroom while supervising Instructional Assistants and Associate Teachers. You will coordinate home visits and parent conferences, plan and implement the center's education plan with individualized development tracking, maintain accurate documentation (files, lesson plans, curriculum, assessments, transition plans, meal counts, tracking sheets), and ensure a safe, developmentally appropriate environment. You will supervise children at all times, participate in physical activities, attend required trainings, and inform Supervisors of issues related to children/families or program operations. You will support children with disabilities, implement IEPs and IFSPs as part of a multidisciplinary team, follow policies, assist with housekeeping duties, maintain confidentiality of family records, and act as a Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse and Neglect. Duties may evolve with the needs of the program and may include evenings or weekend scheduling. Educational and credential requirements vary by Teacher I/II level and include combinations of AA/AS or BA/BS with related ECE units and permits.
