Substitute Paraprofessional

Assist students academically and with daily living activities including mobility, feeding, toileting, and hygiene. Provide physical escort and supervision during transitions, free time, and community outings while maintaining individual records and Medicaid documentation. Develop learning materials, adapt lessons for diverse needs, and correct student work under teacher direction. Guide students in positive relationships, participate in instructional meetings, and utilize de-escalation techniques for behavioral challenges. Serve as the chief source of information for assigned substitute teachers and collaborate with the instructional team to reinforce positive behaviors.
