Job Summary
Substitute Paraprofessional - On Call roles focused on supporting classroom instruction and student well-being. Responsibilities include observing and monitoring student behavior across classroom, playground, lunchroom, and buses; establishing a safe, respectful environment; assisting in developing and implementing daily lesson activities; modifying instruction to meet individual student needs; planning, organizing, and displaying materials to support curricular activities. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3-6 months of related experience; if no Associate’s degree, candidates must pass a Highly Qualified paraprofessional test. Benson Unified School District provides equal access and complies with Title VI, VII, IX, Section 504, and ADA policies.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must have high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3-6 months experience in childcare, education or working with children in related activities
- If applicant does not have an Associates degree, then applicant must be able to pass a Highly Qualified paraprofessional test
