Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one support for assigned students by executing duties outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Promote academic achievement, behavioral growth, and socio-emotional development under the direction of classroom teachers and certified staff. Adapt daily to the specific educational and therapeutic needs of each student while demonstrating physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds and perform essential functions like walking, bending, and carrying. Ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all students and yourself through sustained energy and agility.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or a high school equivalency certification
- physical and mental capacity to perform the major responsibilities of the job assignment
- physical strength, agility, and energy
- visual acuity
- finger dexterity
- lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
