Job Summary
Direct Support Professional needed for substitute/on-call roles in residential settings (3rd shift). Primary duties include providing direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings, assisting with daily living activities (bathroom routines, dressing, meal preparation, medication administration), helping individuals achieve personal goals and participate in community activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and promoting a positive, respectful environment. Must communicate effectively in English, have basic math skills, and pass background/reference checks. Requires a high school diploma or GED (or 1 year of relevant experience) and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or 1 years’ experience in residential setting with intellectually disabled adults
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Pass background and reference checks
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Basic mathematics proficiency
- Compassionate, patient, dependable
- Team player with the individuals' best interests in mind
