Job Summary
Provide critical care services to medically fragile students as assigned and administer medications from physicians' orders. Maintain medication records and reports while communicating with medical, nursing, and district personnel. Manage health room services, including first aid and CPR, and offer guidance and counseling on health to students, staff, and parents. Supervise students and complete other duties as assigned. Maintain emotional control under stress while performing physical tasks such as stooping, bending, lifting, and walking long distances within the campus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's RN, Associate RN, or LVN
- TX Nurse Certification
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
- Automated External Defibrillators (AED) Certification
- Ability to work well with children
- Ability to communicate effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Some experience working with children
