Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the school setting within Lorena ISD, utilizing the nursing process and individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) to support student health and safety. Responsibilities include health assessment, administration of medications per district policy, coordinating referrals and emergency care, maintaining student health records, counseling and instruction for students, acting as a liaison among school staff, families, and healthcare professionals, and upholding HIPAA/FERPA privacy. Requires current licensure in Texas (LVN or higher) and CPR/AED/First Aid certification; strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to implement health policies and collaborate to promote student health and well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed in Texas as an LVN or higher
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification
