Job Summary
Conduct health assessments, screen for vision, hearing, scoliosis, and growth deficits, and interpret student health status for parents and school personnel. Implement student health plans, manage emergencies for injuries or illnesses, and initiate referrals to community resources for interventions. Control communicable diseases, treat confidential situations with discretion, and represent the school district professionally. Provide appropriate care utilizing existing health resources while maintaining prompt attendance. Requires Georgia LPN or RN licensure for this long-term substitute role starting July 30, 2026, at Cloverleaf ES.
Required Qualifications
- State of Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse Certification
- Must hold minimum of LPN licensure
- Ability to make (quick and methodical) decisions pertaining to critical care of students and employees
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills to include specificity with documentation of records
- Ability and knowledge to work effectively as a nurse/paramedic in a school setting
- Previous experience working as a nurse preferred
