Job Summary
Drive an up-to 15 passenger handicapped accessible vehicle, performing pre and post trip inspections while picking up, transporting, and returning public passengers as scheduled. Assist passengers during boarding and deboarding, operate chairlifts as necessary, and collect fares for remittance. Plan expeditious routes with the Dispatcher, maintain clean and safe vehicle conditions, and perform minor maintenance, cleanup, and occasional courier services. Submit reports, timesheets, and invoices timely while documenting mileage and trip information. Observe and report equipment or safety issues, attend all required training, and maintain a clean work area.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid KY Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Criminal background check
- Clean pre-employment drug test
- Willingness to attend all training as required by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Office of Transportation Delivery and/or Gateway Community Action
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit and carry objects occasionally weighing up to 75 pounds
- Must be willing to attend all training as required by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Office of Transportation Delivery and/or Gateway Community Action
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with driving a school bus or other public transportation
