Job Summary
Conduct routine manual labor including sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, and servicing motors in engine rooms and laundry facilities. Perform outside tasks such as shoveling snow, cutting lawns, and trimming hedges. Load and unload trucks, perform minor vehicle maintenance like changing tires, and deliver clean linen. Act as a messenger and occasionally serve as a crew leader for part-time or seasonal personnel in training. Comply with Occupational Safety & Health Administration laws and regulations. Requires ability to lift medium weights and perform moderately heavy physical labor under all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the maintenance and repair of buildings, fixtures and equipment
- Ability to make a variety of simple repairs and adjustments to buildings and equipment
- Ability to lift medium weights
- Willingness to perform routine manual work
- Willingness to work under all weather conditions
- Applicants must be able to perform moderately heavy physical labor
- Applicants must be able to read, write and understand the English language
