Substitute Instructional Assistant (without Bachelor's degree)

Assist a certified teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups while monitoring and reporting student progress. Administer assessments as directed, maintain records of student performance and behavior, and prepare instructional materials and classroom displays. Supervise students during field trips, manage attendance and data entry, and operate audio-visual and educational equipment. Ensure a safe, clean, and orderly environment by following health and safety practices and reporting rule violations. Confers with teachers regarding programs, contacts parents as necessary, and participates in meetings and in-service training. Rides buses when assigned to assist with student loading and unloading, and provides health services after receiving required training.
