Job Summary
Report to the Building Principal upon arrival at school 15-30 minutes before opening and review daily schedules. Provide instruction as outlined by the classroom teacher while ensuring appropriate student behavior under supervision. Assist with clerical duties and move, bend, squat, and kneel to support students at all intellectual levels. Maintain good rapport with students, teachers, and administrators while adhering to all school policies and procedures. Complete required background checks and TB testing. This role enables students to pursue education smoothly during the absence of regular staff.
Required Qualifications
- 48 college credits or passing score on Para-Pro Praxis
- The ability to work effectively with students at all intellectual levels and to establish and maintain good rapport while working closely with other teacher and administrators
- Fingerprinting is required for criminal history background clearance
- Completed background check for the Long Branch Public School District
- Negative TB test result taken within the past two years
- Instructional Assistants must be able to move, bend, squat and kneel while assisting students
- Report to the Building Principal upon arrival at school at least 15-30 minutes before the official school opening
- Review schedules to be followed during the teaching day

- Follow all school policies and procedures
- Assume responsibility of ensuring appropriate behavior of students under your supervision
