Job Summary
Teach group exercise classes onsite, providing varied activities to meet diverse fitness levels while adhering to safety guidelines. Supervise the fitness center by answering member questions regarding health and wellbeing, and assess individual health status to offer unique wellness recommendations. Conduct orientations based on facility layouts and policies, while maintaining professional rapport with members. Partner with staff to clean equipment and areas as needed, always abiding by NIFS Employee Handbook policies. This flexible, part-time opportunity allows you to set your schedule and accept shifts that work for you. As needed coverage supports our team during vacations, training, or illness.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant work experience
- Ability to teach basic balance, chair exercise and muscle conditioning group fitness classes
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- May, at any time, be required to submit to and successfully pass a thorough background check and/or drug screen
- May be required to complete and pass a TB skin test
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in a health-related field
- Experience with older adult clientele
- Aquatic experience
- Fitness-related certifications (CPT, CSCS, etc)
