Job Summary
Substitute Part-Time Group Exercise Instructor leads safe, engaging group fitness classes for Cooper Aerobics members at the Wellington Athletic Club location in Flower Mound, TX, with primary need for substitute Boot Camp instruction and strong preference for candidates who can teach a variety of formats (strength, cardio, Pilates, dance, and other trending formats). Responsible for adapting to member interests and club needs while delivering a positive, motivating, and inclusive fitness experience that reflects Cooper Aerobics standards and culture. Responsibilities include planning engaging routines and music, delivering classes on time, covering absences with appropriate substitutes, maintaining a clean and organized studio, providing exemplary customer service, and following Cooper policies. Requirements include excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, basic computer/technical skills, an associate degree or equivalent plus six months teaching in group fitness, and CPR and professional fitness certifications (ACSM/ACE/NASM or similar). Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least six months teaching in a group exercise format.
- Professional group fitness certification (ACSM, ACE, Cooper, NASM, or similar).
- CPR certification required (on-campus certification may be available but must be complete within the first month of employment).
