Job Summary
Provide virtual foreign language instruction to improve proficiency across listening, reading, and speaking; deliver instruction on regional and culture subjects using blended-learning methodologies; develop lesson plans and assessments for ILR 0+ to 3; review and grade assignments and provide feedback; maintain a positive virtual learning environment and coordinate with Site Lead/POI; collaborate with Language Instructional Developer to address curriculum gaps; must be a US citizen with native or near-native language capability; remote, temporary role based at Remote TU Support – Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA; requires access to computer hardware, stable internet, and VoIP/telecommunications setup.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen
- Educated native speaker of the foreign language or near-native capability in listening, reading, and speaking with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent
- Experience in providing various levels of foreign language instruction through a virtual environment
- Understanding of the cultural, social, and political environment of the foreign language region
- Experience in creating blended learning lessons and tailoring materials to customer needs
- Instructor must have access to a Windows computer, webcam, headset with microphone, a phone or smart tablet, and high-speed internet connection
