Job Summary
Prepare food items using standardized recipes, portion, and serve meals while maintaining sanitation and safety standards. Operate equipment including ovens, steamers, dish machines, slicers, and mixers as directed by the kitchen manager. Assist with kitchen clean-up and perform other duties as assigned. Work simultaneously with both hands, stand for extended periods, and withstand temperature fluctuations. Lift up to 50 lbs. Attendance is on an as needed basis during the 2026-2027 school year for students and meals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Must pass required background checks and physical
- Knowledge of food production techniques, preparation and serving practices
- Must be able to operate all food service equipment
- Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions in English
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to withstand heat and fluctuations in temperature
- Must be able to work simultaneously with both hands
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
