Job Summary
Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals to students, operate the cash register to process transactions accurately, and ensure cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and cafeteria. Restock supplies, assist with food prep and cleanup, and follow all food safety and hygiene standards. This flexible, on-call position requires variable 4-hour shifts during school hours Monday through Friday, with no nights, weekends, or holidays. On-the-job training is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Positive attitude
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to enjoy working in a school environment around children
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Must pass required background checks per district and NYS regulations
