Job Summary
Substitute Food Service Worker provides support for food service activities at the assigned site, preparing and serving food to students and staff, while maintaining sanitary kitchen and dining areas. Responsibilities include arranging and serving food efficiently, attending training sessions, cleaning utensils and facilities, inspecting food items for quality and health standards, inventorying supplies, maintaining sanitary conditions, supervising under direct supervision when needed, preparing food to meet nutritional and projected meal requirements, reporting equipment malfunctions, and ensuring timely service within a team. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in large-quantity food preparation; certifications in Food Handlers/SafeServ and CPR/First Aid are included as required credentials.
