Job Summary
Substitute Food Service Helper duties include assisting in food service operations in a school district setting. Must pass state/federal fingerprint background checks, lift up to 40 lb cases and heavy pans, stand and move for extended periods, prepare and serve food per health regulations, perform basic math, operate kitchen equipment safely, follow written/oral directions, work cooperatively with colleagues, maintain sanitation of equipment and areas, and provide customer service to children. Requires ability to work with children of all ages and maintain sanitary conditions in a food service environment.
Required Qualifications
- Fingerprint-supported criminal history background check
- Ability to lift 40 lb
- Ability to lift, bend, push, walk and stand for extended periods
- Prepare and serve food in health/sanitation regulations
- Basic math skills
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely
- Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Work cooperatively with others
- Maintain food service equipment and areas clean
- Customer service experience with children of all ages
