Job Summary
Manage food preparation by adjusting recipe yields, thawing ingredients, and completing pan work while adhering to USDA Offer vs. Serve and HACCP safety standards. Maintain kitchen cleanliness through daily sanitizing, equipment care, and floor maintenance, then prepare quality food using approved standardized recipes to avoid waste. Assist with cashier functions, account for reimbursable meals, and report inventory usage accurately. Perform other duties as assigned, including emergency substitutions, while maintaining a professional attitude toward students and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Tolerates extreme heat and cold environments as a condition of the position.
- Serves in any capacity, which may be necessary in an emergency, including substituting, when qualified, for another kitchen position.
- Accepts feedback and constructive criticism.
- Wears assigned uniform including safe non-slip work shoes and hair restraint.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening, as outlined in our drug-free workplace policy - Charlotte County Public Schools Policy 3124.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- ServeSafe certification preferred.
