Job Summary
Maintain and service hotel building systems and envelopes to ensure guest safety and quality. Perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders (e.g., replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl); inspect electrical systems (air conditioning controls, lighting, TVs) and assist with major repairs of hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boilers, pool, HVAC). Service pool chemicals and filters; maintain exterior and curb appeal; refurbish furniture and fixtures; move heavy items; ensure guest satisfaction and safety. Requires vocational certification or experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry; physical tasks include lifting 25-50 lbs and exposure to extreme temperatures. Must be able to follow instructions, communicate progress, and adapt to hotel operations. Compensation: $28.82-$30.82 per hour. Location: Hyatt Regency Jersey City, Jersey City, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades required in 1 or more of the following areas: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry.
