Job Summary
Conduct substitute teaching for early childhood students aged birth to three years in designated locations and times. Maintain a safe, orderly classroom environment while employing instructional techniques appropriate for the students' maturity and capabilities. Prepare and submit accurate records, lesson plans, and reports as required by state statutes and administrative procedures. Support student learning plans and assist in enforcing school rules and policies. Adhere to district values of collaboration, communication, integrity, leadership, excellence, and safety. Ensure all activities align with the District Mission to promote character and competence in a positive learning culture.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to adhere to rules and regulations as prescribed by the State Board of Education Florida Statutes, the school board, and administrative procedures.
- Must be able to prepare, maintain, and submit accurate and complete records and reports as required by the State Board of Education Florida Statutes, the school board, and administrative procedures.
- Must be able to uphold and enforce school rules, administrative procedures and board policies.
- Must be able to maintain a classroom environment which is safe, orderly, and conducive to effective learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of all students.
- Must be able to meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
- Must be able to prepare and maintain lesson plans for classes assigned, and show written evidence of preparation upon request of a supervisor.
- Must be able to work with students to create a classroom environment that is conducive to teaching and learning.
- Must be able to employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of all individuals or student groups involved.
- Must be able to complete a drug screening.
- Must be able to consider Veteran's preferences in accordance with Florida Statute 295.07.
