Job Summary
Support the Lead Teacher and classroom assistants with daily rhythms, routines, and transitions for children ages 2 to 6. Supervise indoor and outdoor play while assisting with snack, rest time, and other daily activities. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment by setting up, cleaning, sanitizing tables, and washing dishes. Build caring relationships with young children and adapt to the needs of different classrooms under the direction of the Lead Teacher. This role offers flexible substitute hours at Denver Waldorf School, a fully accredited Waldorf education institution in Denver, Colorado.
Required Qualifications
- Qualifications that meet Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) requirements for Early Childhood staff
- A genuine love of working with children ages 2 to 6
- A collaborative, flexible, and dependable approach
- A willingness to assist with classroom organization, cleaning, and daily routines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to use hands
- Must be able to reach with arms
- Must be able to stoop
- Must be able to kneel
- Must be able to crouch
- Must be able to crawl
- Must be able to lift or move up to 20 pounds
