Job Summary
Maintain building appearance by cleaning restrooms, classrooms, halls, office areas, and grounds. Operate standard cleaning equipment such as vacuums and hand cleaning tools while lifting objects up to 75 lbs, standing for extended periods, and climbing stairs and ladders. Work varied shifts on an on-call basis as needed. Demonstrate respect for diversity and communicate effectively with employees and students using tact and good judgment.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of effective cleaning practices, procedures and equipment
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, policies and procedures in English
- Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and students using tact, courtesy and good judgment
- Self-motivated
- Willing to work as part of a team
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment such as vacuums and hand cleaning tools
- Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity
- Lifting objects up to 75 lbs
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Climbs stairs and ladders
