Substitute Custodian 2026-2027

Performs custodial duties in assigned school buildings, including cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and hallways; sweeping, mopping, and maintaining floors; cleaning rugs, carpets, windows, walls, and fixtures; restocking supplies; assisting with setup for events; and following safety guidelines for handling chemicals. Works under the direction of the Director of Buildings and Grounds with input from Building Administrator, may involve varied duties by season or activity, and requires adaptability, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must maintain basic knowledge of building conditions, chemical safety, and basic floor maintenance; physical tasks include lifting, moving furniture, operating cleaning equipment, and working in different weather conditions. Emphasis on good public relations, attendance, safety, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and the community.
