Job Summary
Conduct temporary custodial services at assigned school sites, including snow and ice removal, cleaning classrooms and grounds, and preparing facilities for daily operations and events. Deliver supplies, monitor students and staff for safety, and respond to immediate operational concerns such as facility damage or alarms. Replenish restroom and classroom supplies while securing doors, gates, and alarms to minimize property loss. Perform summer maintenance tasks like floor stripping and furniture moving as needed. This as-needed position reports to the Building Principal with no benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Criminal Background Check
- Family Care Safety Registry
- Consent to and successful completion of a pre-employment background check
- Results of background check acceptable to the Blue Springs School District
- Operating equipment used in industrial maintenance including electrical cleaning equipment
- Common tools
- Adhering to safety practices
- Usage of cell phone
- Basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios
- Read and follow instructions
