Job Summary
Assist in the cooking, preparing, and serving of food for the National School Lunch Program, ensuring meals meet proper nutritional needs for children. Maintain sanitary conditions by performing daily clean-up of kitchen and service areas, replenishing food supplies during meal periods, and managing storage and disposal of unused food. Prepare order lists based on the menu and monitor students' food choices to meet mandated requirements. Perform regular cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms as scheduled. Work as part of a team adhering to safety and sanitation practices, with duties performed under some temperature extremes.
Required Qualifications
- Washington State Food & Beverage Service Workers Permit
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid photo identification
- Social Security Card
- Must be 21 years of age or older
Desired Qualifications
- Job-related experience
- Previous experience in school food service or comparable experience
- ASFSA & WSFSA certification
