Job Summary
Implement developmentally appropriate activities in the classroom while supporting children's social, physical, cognitive, and language growth. Maintain Infant Toddler CPR and First Aid certification, prepare materials, and manage classroom ratios during coverage for primary teacher absences. Ensure compliance with MO Childcare Licensing Standards, EHS Performance Standards, and USDA CACFP requirements by attending mandatory trainings and meetings. Maintain assigned areas through general cleaning tasks, laundry, and food preparation procedures while promoting a positive safety culture. Work at least three shifts per month as a part-time substitute, with specific hours and locations determined by request.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or High School Equivalency Test (GED/HiSET)
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills
- Infant Toddler CPR and First Aid certification
- Knowledge of HS Performance Standards
- Knowledge of MO Childcare Licensing
- Knowledge of United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations and requirements
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
- Ability to learn and follow CHS policy, procedure, practice, and structure
- Demonstrated strong working knowledge of HS Performance Standards, MO Childcare Licensing, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and sanitation regulations and requirements, developmentally appropriate practices
