Job Summary
Conduct routine clerical tasks including typing forms, payrolls, bills, and reports; transcribe dictaphone cylinders and longhand copy; and operate office machines such as mimeographs or alpha-numeric keyboards. Answer telephone inquiries, relay messages, and act as receptionist directing callers. Collect and account for monies received while sorting correspondence and filing materials. Perform arithmetical computations and assist in preparing tax rolls and utility bills. This substitute position requires high school graduation or equivalent with typing experience, with verifiable part-time or volunteer experience pro-rated toward full-time requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma
- Course in typing
- Working knowledge of office terminology procedures and equipment
