Job Summary
Join the Head Start team as a Substitute Classroom Aide, assisting with classroom activities, supervising children, and supporting the teaching staff. Responsibilities include helping with routines, preparing snacks, engaging in small and large group activities, and maintaining a clean environment. Candidates must have good communication skills, work well with preschool children and parents, and demonstrate flexibility. A High School Diploma or GED and prior childcare experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-6 months prior related experience and or volunteer experience
Additional Requirements
- Must have the desire to work with low income children and families
- Must complete and maintain required training in specific topic areas as assigned; completes a minimum of 30 hours over a two year period
