Job Summary
Monitor the Weapon Detection System at various high schools and middle schools. 30 hours per week with a flexible schedule. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum level one state certification or training for security (or obtain Level one within the first year). Successful fingerprint and background check is required. Strong communication with staff, students, and the public is necessary. Preferred qualifications include bilingual English and Spanish, prior law enforcement/corrections or fire department experience, honorable discharge from military/reserve, and previous security/military experience. An FBI fingerprint background check will be conducted on all new hires. Located in Las Cruces, NM with an on-site office at Operations Annex; equal opportunity employer.
