Job Summary
Provide instruction and guidance to students in the absence of the regular teacher, following lesson plans, maintaining a safe classroom, adapting methods to meet student needs, collaborating with staff, and providing feedback on student progress. Requires TEA training, ability to lift and carry 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, effective classroom management, and flexible scheduling within elementary to pre-K to high school grade levels. Competitive daily pay for part-time substitute roles in Fort Worth-area charter/public schools, Monday–Friday with no weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong writing, reading and communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different grade levels and subject areas
- Prior experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred
