Job Summary
Assist the driver when requested or required, including backing the bus and completing paperwork. Monitor students' well-being and behavior during the route, responding to needs and notifying the driver of emergencies. Help students load or unload the bus and secure special needs equipment like wheelchairs or car seats. Be familiar with the route to assist substitutes or new drivers and sit on the bus as needed, excluding the front unless empty. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation. This role requires a high school diploma, physical dexterity to lift students, and passing a criminal background check and tuberculosis screening. Applicants must complete an online Frontline Education application.
Required Qualifications
- Acceptable verbal and written communication skills
- Physical dexterity, coordination, mobility, visual and emotional health to perform the essential functions of the position including the ability to lift students
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass tuberculosis screening prior to start date

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
