Job Summary
Operate school buses and other District vehicles to transport children to and from school and related activities under general supervision. Perform duties including cleaning buses and inspecting vehicles to ensure safe operation, prioritizing student safety and welfare. Report to the Transportation Supervisor. The District seeks substitutes interested in multiple departments, including Facilities, Custodial, Nutrition Services, and classroom assistant roles. Valid Class B CDL with endorsements is preferred, along with CPR and First Aid certification. Propane fueling experience is an asset. Fingerprinting and a criminal history check are required once hired.
Required Qualifications
- Fingerprinting and Criminal History Check at employee's expense
- Holds, or is able to obtain, CPR and First Aid Certification
- Ability and desire to work with children
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Valid ODE Bus Driver Certification
- Valid Class B CDL with Endorsements
- Previous bus driving experience
- Propane fueling experience
