Execute class and lessons according to an absent teacher's written teaching plan while meeting and instructing assigned students in designated locations. Plan a program of study that meets individual student needs, using innovative instructional strategies and technologies to increase learning and confidence. Create a conducive classroom environment that promotes high standards, equity, and appropriate behavior, while assessing and documenting student accomplishments and learning problems. Maintain accurate records, implement district policies, and establish cooperative relationships with colleagues, students, and parents. Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities, and provide support for students with disabilities, special needs, and second language learners. The school day is 6.5 hours over 184 days, with a daily rate of $210.00. Eligible for voluntary professional development.
